He might not be the most well-liked guy in Hollywood right now , but Jamie Foxx still has some redeemable qualities. The Soloist finally hit theaters last Friday and, unlike the lower brow Observe and Report , is racking up some pretty favorable reviews ( The Washington Post says “‘The Soloist’ blends high art and entertainment in near-perfect proportions,” and Rolling Stone claims “the film’s refusal to conform to typical Hollywood sentimentality makes it worth seeing”).
