Former Police Cadet Shot in Bronx

A former New York Police Department cadet was shot in the abdomen and injured in the lobby of his Bronx apartment building on Monday, the police and a hospital spokeswoman said.The police said that they were called to the building at 950 Avenue St. John in the Woodstock neighborhood about 5:23 a.m. and found the 23-year-old former cadet with a gunshot wound.
